[AMD] Research Associate
Elham Nour Ghassemi received a master’s degree in molecular physics at Stockholm University in Sweden. She did her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Geert-Jan Kroes in theoretical and computational chemistry at the Leiden Institute of chemistry. Her research was about heterogeneous catalysis and the fundamental study of hydrogen dissociation on metal surfaces to construct a database of reaction barriers with chemical accuracy for H2 interacting with metal surfaces. Currently, she is a guest researcher in the AMD group. She is keenly interested in applying ML methods as a useful tool in the field of renewable energy and material science to new material properties prediction and development.
