SHORT BIO: I studied theoretical chemistry at Bilkent University in Turkey and obtained my PhD in Physics from the Computational Materials Science Department of University of Twente in the Netherlands. Before joining DIFFER, I worked as FOM Young Energy Scientist Fellow at the Theoretical Chemistry Group of Harvard University in the USA and followingly at the Theoretical Chemistry Group of Leiden University in the Netherlands.
I am now leading the [AMD] Research Group at DIFFER and CCER. At [AMD], we develop and use autonomous virtual materials discovery frameworks – powered by multi-scale high-throughput simulations, artificial intelligence methods, and advanced data-infrastructures – to accelerate the discovery of new functional molecules, 2D and 3D materials for various high-tech energy conversion and storage applications.
